Early Observations of Florida
I am in the Tampa/Sarasota area and here are a few observations I have made in less than a day:
1. They love pizza buffets here
2. They don't drive foreign cars
3. Old people
4. They love their manatee's (everything around here has manatee in the title of the company)

Florida and Chicago....here we come!
I will be traveling to Florida this Sunday for some work related meetings. I then fly from Florida to Chicago where I will meet Tasha, Emma, and Jessie. They are flying from Portland to Chicago on the same day. We arrive within an hour of each other (assuming there are no delays). We then get to spend a few days with the Hobart crew. We will eat well and get to celebrate my little sister Becky's 21st birthday! We fly home on Super Bowl Sunday.

Updates
Now that the holiday's are over and things have died down a little, here are some updates:
Tasha: Like her mom and Emma, Tasha was pretty spoiled for Christmas, receiving some good books, gift certificates, and an iPod. She is finally starting to feel better after being sick for a while with something like the flu. Her boss is also back to work after being gone for a number of weeks due to her husband's illness. Overall Tasha is doing well and looking great (ooo-lala).
Jr (Chris): Doing well....just got done coordinating the largest event my college will host during the year and am getting ready for another large event on campus. I am also hiring a new Director of Financial Aid as well as a new Financial Aid Counselor. Basically just working, spending time with my wonderful family, and playing darts.
Emma: WOW...where do I start? She is talking nonstop. She is beginning to piece words together, mainly two words. Her memory is amazing and she is doing great at school. Today I asked her if she wanted to hang out with her friend Ben this Saturday, she said "yes" and then proceeded to name off everyone else who will be there "Tyler, Scott, Carrie, Mike, and Kristy". Her two favorite people are Awgee (Aunt Jessie) and Ween (Wayne). She is the funniest person I know and keeps all of us laughing all the time. Some of her funniest words she says are "Boompa" who is my grandfather, "Lu-chee" for my aunt Luci, and "Hey Dude". You can even ask her what her name is and she will say "Emma Sweet", although the Sweet sounds more like "wheat". She received too many amazing gifts to list, some of the big ones were a new kitchen from Awgee, a new "ride" from Santa, and a new easel to make art. We love spending every second with her.......
