Remembering Chris Sweet Sr.

Tomorrow (May 22nd) will be the three year anniversary since my dad's death. I miss "pops" and we will celebrate him tomorrow with grilled salmon, other good food, and tiramisu for dessert.

New Planter Boxes

Once our sidewalk was finally put in we gained a section of front yard that measured 5'x15'. For the last year or so it has been a big plot of mud. We built four 4'x4' planter boxes and put them out this last weekend. In two of the boxes we planted vegetables and flowers in the other 2. The bottom box in the bottom picture is Emma's box. She chose the flowers from a local nursery and told us where to plant them in the box. We filled area around the boxes with bark nuggets and a brick border along the back.

Jessie Went Snowshoeing

Courtney and I snow shoed 5 miles and it took 3 hrs...what an adventure and a great workout! And, as you can tell from the pics, there was plenty of snow and sun. It was a great day with Courtney!
